Richard Davison and Hiscox Askari
Top British Dressage rider Richard Davison keeps up well with the German and Dutch top in the World Cup Qualifiers. Covering a 4th position in the provisional World Cup Standing, Davison is the first non-German or Dutch rider in the rankings after 4 out of 7 competitions.
Riding his own 16.2 Dutch warmblood gelding Hiscox Askari, Richard scored 63.12% in the Grand Prix at the first CDI-W in Berlin, Germany, to take 11th place giving him a good standing for the Grand Prix Kur where he finished 9th on 71.71%. Because Robert Dover, who took 8th place, was competing for the USA, and will not be included in the Western League table Richard's final placing was 8th. Richard said, "Berlin was a very strong qualifier as we were up against many potential Olympic Team horses. Germany had three horses from their European Championship gold medal team and The Netherlands had one from their silver medal winning team. Hiscox Askari had not been out since the European Championships in July so I was delighted that he pulled his act together and performed well." Related Links British Dressage |
