Theodorescu Resigns from the IDTC

Rehbein and Theodorescu Legendary dressage trainer George Theodorescu resigned from the International Dressage Trainer's Club because he believes that "modern" trainers deviate too much from the principles of Classical Dressage. "There is no consensus on how a piaffe, a passage or even a circle should look like," Theodorescu said.

Shown here at The 1994 World Equestrian Games in de Hague, The Netherlands, with fellow classical dressage trainer, the late Herbert Rehbein, George Theodorescu is a native Romanian, fled to Germany as a political refugee when he was 31 years old. He established a dressage barn in Westfalia where he trained daughter Monica Theodorescu a six time gold medallist for Germany.
