July 25 2000 Olympic Ferro and Coby van Baalen
Winning the
Grand Prix and the Grand Prix Special handily in Arnhem, CHampion Gelderland,
Coby van Baalen and her black KWPN stallion by Ulft clinched the team
victory for Holland over the Americans. The following week, the handsome
pair went on to win an individual silver medal the following weekend at
the Dutch Team Championships, reaching 80.67% in her Freestyle, riding
on a Zorba based composition. Second only to the seemingly unbeatable Anky van Grunsven and her Oldenburg gelding, Gestion Bonfire by Welt As, Ferro improved on his trot work, while his amazing piaffe and passage drew all eyes in his direction. The Germans are feeling the "hot breath on their necks" from the Dutch Team, determined to gain Olympic Team Gold in Sydney.
