February 11, 2001 Lesley Eden and Picasso Win Again in Clarcona By Amber Heintzberger for DressageDaily.com
What makes Eden's achievments with Picasso even more notable is that the pair have been together since training level, and have worked their way to the Young Rider ranks from the beginning. "This was better than last time," she said, on Friday, adding, "It was one of my better rides. He was steadier in the bridle and I was happy with his changes. I was only mad at myself for going off course in the canter." She may have gone off course once, but Eden is otherwise on the right track. The twenty-year-old has been training with Anne Gribbons for the past four years. At the Snowbird's Paradise, Gribbons said, "This is their year," and the results seem to be proving her right. Eden is a student in Community College and plans later to transfer
to the University of Florida. While riding takes up most of her free
time, she is also interested in rowing and golf. In her last year of
Young Riders, she hopes to make the team and go to the NAYRC in Wadsworth,
IL later this summer. |
