Tina Konyot and West Side Lady

Tina Konyot and West Side Lady West Side Lady was a sixth anniversary present from Tim to Susan Dutta, and the gift keeps on giving. Tina Konyot, who is Dutta's trainer and has been working with the mare since February, will continue to rider her while Susan is pregnant with her first child. Konyot said, "She's a very talented, expressive horse. She's a horse to look out for in the future."

Capping a successful season, the nine-year-old Hannoverian mare, (Westberry x Lombard), won the USET Prix Saint George (69.750) and the Intermediaire-1 (69.917) at Equestrian Estates. Even when they bought her the mare already had an impressive show record: she holds the highest score in the history of the keuring (mare test) for mares in Germany; she was third in the Bundeschampionaat as a three-year-old, and she won the same competition as a four-year-old.

If they qualify, this will also be Konyot's first time competing at the US Equestrian Team headquarters. She was qualified for the short tour on Kroongraf last year but opted to move him up to Grand Prix instead, and then he was sold. "It hasn't been a priority for me to compete there," said Konyot, "but if it's not too much for her I would like to see this horse make it."
