USA Equestrian 2001 Internet Media Award

USA Equestrian presented the winners of the ninth annual Media Awards, to Phelps/Hathaway Enterprises and HorsesDaily®.com as the recipient of The Internet Media Award.

"I am thrilled and proud of this honor," said president and CEO Mary Phelps-Hathaway, "which would not have been possible if not for the dedication and passion for the work involved by those who are a part of our operation." Phelps-Hathaway is a long time member of The International Alliance of Equestrian Journalists, and The American Horse Publications, who has covered International and National events since 1980.

Established in 1997, HorsesDaily®.com features news, photos, rider biographies, "On the Scene" event coverage, and information on a variety of equestrian disciplines, as well as providing a portal for links and press releases to other sources of important and newsworthy websites. Together with its associate site, DressageDaily.com (AOL's "editor's pick" for keyword Dressage), they have a consistent daily traffic averaging 4,000 pages viewed daily, of "timely news with timeless information".

HorsesDaily®.com is a privately held company owned and operated by Phelps-Hathaway Enterprises Inc, Deleon Springs, Florida, a partnership shared with her husband James Jay Hathaway.

The winners were formally presented with their awards at the 2002 USA Equestrian Annual Meeting, Hilton Charlotte & Towers, Charlotte, NC, January 11, 2002, at The Pegasus Dinner, recognizing exemplary efforts to promote understanding and appreciation of equestrian sports.
