Farbenfroh and Nadine Capellmann
Wowed the Crowd at 2002 CHIO Aachen

Farbenfroh, who is by Freudentaenzer, is known by his rider and teammates as a "practical joker" was also elected by the readers of the equestrian magazine, the Reiter Revue as "Horse of the Year" an award that was bestowed on him at CHIO Aachen, in front of a record crowd that topped off at 300,500 in total attendance.

"He operates between genius and madness." characterized Capellmann. "Today he books world records in the arena, and tomorrow some madness can come around and victory is gone!" In fact, it is characteristic of the horse to make silly mistakes, sometime due to a last second spook, or a misstep in a change, which cost him points in the Grand Prix, and the Special. But during the Freestyle, he wowed the crowd, with accurate movements, ears always forward, and showing his famous extensions that drew applause from the educated dressage watchers who could not contain their delight. Edging out their Teammates, Ulla Salzgeber and Rusty by just fractions of a percentage, victory was theirs, this time.
