Weinrausch, Laudatio and Tip Top Find New Home

Laudatio (Landadel x Trajan x Abhang III) made a rapid sports career under Swiss Françoise Cantamessa, who recently took him to the 2002 World Equestrian Games in Spain. With the winter season coming up full stride, and the 2003 show season on its way, the European horsemarket is florishing as never before with important horse sales in the dressage world. European and international dressage riders are taking their chances to invest in top notch, expensive dressage horses to secure a ticket in their country's dressage team and in the top ten at dressage shows for the upcoming season. Money seems to be hardly an issue when it's all about finding that one true star.

Austrian millionaire and former Olympic gold medallist Sissy Max-Theurer purchased Weinrausch in Germany for her daughter Viktoria Max-Theurer, the double silver medallist at the 2002 European Junior Rider Championships. The 10-year old Hanoverian gelding by Walt Disney x Darling was first sold at the PSI Auction in 1996 for $450,000 USD to Dr Friedrich Landwehrmann, who had Dieter Laugks train the bay to Grand Prix. Insa Hansen, the chief trainer at Ullrich Kasselmann's barn, took over the reins at the end of the 2002 show season, but the bay has now been moved to Max Theurer's stable, Castle Achleiten in Austria.

Brazilian millionaire and dressage fanatic Dr Jorge de la Rocha has set his sights on the 2004 Olympic Games in Athens and Laudatio is the horse that needs to offer him the ride. The 8-year-old licensed stallion of Gestut Albfuhren in Germany was sold to Dr Jorge de la Rocha mid October 2002. Tip Top and Kyrklund While training in Europe on a USET grant with Kyra Kyrklund, American Leslie Morse has seen perspectives in her trainer's horse Tip Top. Purchased by D.B.Enterprises, the Swedish licensed stallion Tip Top will find a new breeding and show career at Paragon Farms in California. Tip Top was the first horse in history to win the Swedish young horse championships "Breeder's Cup" three years in a row.

While Max Theurer, De la Rocha and Morse are destined to bring new life to their sports careers, Anky van Grunsven and Trakeher Contact Nederland have decided to put an end to the show career of Grand Prix horse Gestion TCN Partout. The licensed stallion Partout (by Arogno) has been injured regularly over the past three years and never fully healed. Even though Anky competed him a select few times a year, the horse never restored to full capability and the final decision was made to retire him from showing. At the 2003 Zwolle International Stallion Show, February 19 to 23, 2003 in Zwolle, The Netherlands, Gestion TCN Partout will receive a special retirement ceremony.
