Sunday February 23, 2003 Ulla Salzgeber Wins 2002/2003 Kampmann Cup Finals
Salzgeber only felt the breeze in her neck from the Danish Lone Jorgenssen who scored a magnificent 78.48% in the Special. Jorgenssen, of course, rode her Baden Wurttemberger FWB Kennedy (by Tiro). Making their rentree on the scene after their last outing at the World Equestrian Games in Jerez were Bremen citizen Klaus Husenbeth and his Hanoverian gelding Piccolino (by Prince Thatch xx). Husenbeth and his elegant bay horse were in top shape and with 72.92% in the Grand Prix (2nd) and 72.56% in the Special (4th) they placed fourth overall in the Cup Finals. Isabell Werth and her good old Anthony FRH (by Argument) had a hausse this weekend and scored 70.44% (4th) and 76.32% (3rd).
The 2002/2003 Kampmann Cup was a show circuit that run over several top international competitions, which included the CDI Dortmund 2002, Hardenberg 2002, the 2002 German Championships in Mannheim, the CDI Lingen 2002, the World Equestrian Games in Jerez 2002, the Euroclassics 2002, the C.H.I. Aboard the light footed Antschar, Salzgeber won the Intermediaire I with 866 points and left Prix St Georges winners Ann Kathrin Linsenhoff and Sterntaler behind her.
