Dressage Show Weekend World Wide
Winning the Prix St Georges and Intermediaire I was Ann Kathrin Linsenhoff on her newest acquisition Sterntaler. The dark bay Oldenburg licensed stallion by Sion x Manstein is an absolute scoring machine. With 1465 points in the PSG and 1499 in the Inter I, Linsenhoff scored far more than second placed Marion Henkel on Prinz Paul. Linsenhoff, located in Kronberg, Germany, won her third class of the weekend in the Grand Prix Special. This team she rode her WEG mount Renoir Unicef (by Rubinstein). With 1910, Linsenhoff was again far ahead of the competition. Klaus Husenbeth and his Hanoverian Vechta Auction horse Piccolino placed second with 1876, while the winner of the Grand Prix, Nadine Capellmann and Gracioso came in third with 1823. In the first qualifier of the Piaff Forderpreis, a special Grand Prix circuit for young riders who want to make a successful transition to the big tour, Maren Frychel and Christine Kaltenbock both claimed one blue ribbon. Ellen Schulten Baumer, the winner of the 2001 and 2002 Piaff Forderpreis, could do any better than a fourth place on Gina Royal OLD. Bad Salzuflen is also the location for the annual Pony Derby. Two FEI pony tests determine the three finallists who have to compete on each other pony's to determine the Derby Winner. 2002 European Pony Champion Katharina Winkelhues won the derby. Not only did she win both qualifiers with Bundeschampionate winner Don Joshi, but she also won the Finals riding all three ponies to their best scores. Aboard her own Dressman Son, aboard Lydia Camp's Dulcia and on Kirsten Sieber's Velicia, Winkelhues always totalled the highest score and became the 2003 Bad Salzuflen Pony Derby "Sieger".
