Belinda Trussell Leads after Grand Prix in Canadian League World Cup Finals Sponsored by Swarovski

Belinda Trussell Belinda Trussell on board Royan II has taken the lead in the Canadian League World Cup Finals taking place at the Royal Winter Fair. But it's shaping up to be a very tight competition as the top 4 horse/rider combinations move into the Freestyle class taking place Saturday night, November 8th.

Trussell and her 13-year-old Oldenburg gelding earned a score of 65.417% and first place ordinals from 3 out of the 5 judges. Close behind in second place is Gillian Sutherland and Karen Soupcoff's 11-year-old Oldenburg gelding Justin Tyme who were awarded 64.917% and 2 first place ordinals. Making it a very tight race for the top 3 is Julia Vysniauskas & Syntax, an 11-year old Czechoslovakian Warmblood gelding, who received 64.125%. Rounding out the class is Jacqueline Brooks & her 14-year-old Warmblood gelding Finnigan with 60.917% and Tom Dvorak with Kadans, an 11-year old Dutch stallion owned by Sheri Dumonceaux, earning 60.417%. The winner will be decided in the Freestyle competition which takes place Saturday night, November 8th.
