USDF Announces 2004 USDF/Premier Dressage Adult Clinic Series

The United States Dressage Federation, Inc. (USDF) has announced the schedule for the 2004 USDF/Premier Dressage Adult Clinic Series featuring Walter Zettl. As in 2003, each USDF region will have one clinic; the format includes a Friday evening lecture and eight private sessions on both Saturday and Sunday.

The clinic dates are as follows:
February 14-15, 2004 - Region 7
March 13-14, 2004 - Region 9
April 10-11, 2004 - Region 5
June 26-27, 2004 - Region 2
July 17-18, 2004 - Region 4
July 31-Aug 1, 2004 - Region 6
September 25-26, 2004 - Region 3
October 16-17, 2004 - Region 8
November 13-14, 2004 - Region 1

The USDF/Premier Dressage Adult Clinic Series was initiated to educate the riding public on the benefits of classical dressage. The clinics are intended to appeal to a broad spectrum of auditors, and Mr. Zettl regularly engages the audience, encouraging questions throughout the riding sessions and lecture. Auditors have found this clinic series particularly valuable due to this rapport and to Mr. Zettl's considerable skills as a teacher.

Rider participation in the USDF/Premier Dressage Adult Clinic Series is open to current USDF participating, group, and intercollegiate/interscholastic members over the age of 21. Experienced riders at all levels, both professional and amateur, are encouraged to apply. Auditors of all ages and levels are welcome to attend, and USDF membership is not required to audit.

Exact locations for the 2004 clinics are being determined. For further information, rider applications, and auditor registration, visit www.usdf.org, or contact Laura Kelly, USDF programs coordinator, at (859) 271-7877 or lkelly@usdf.org.

Mr. Zettl, author of Dressage In Harmony (1998, Half Halt Press), is known throughout the world for his sympathetic approach to training. A true master of classical horsemanship, Mr. Zettl has trained top riders such as the 1984 Canadian Olympic eventing team and Ontario's young riders, whom he coached to three consecutive team gold medals at the FEI North American Young Riders' Championships. German-trained under Colonel Herbert W. Aust, Mr. Zettl is a longtime resident of Canada, now focused on sharing his training philosophies in regular clinics throughout North America.

Premier Dressage, which manufactures high-quality, affordable dressage arenas and accessories, is proud to sponsor this clinic series to help promote Walter Zettl's message of working in harmony with the horse.
