Dressage Days the 2004 Rolex Kentucky Three Day Event

OK, I admit it, I am cheating, but it’s so comfy in our big RV, located in the Kentucky Horse Park Campground overlooking the back side of the cross country course. The rain kept coming down during the dressage days at the 2004 Rolex Kentucky Three-Day Event, and our TV is picking up the live feed of the event, so why suffer?

There is mud everywhere, but it has not deterred the crowds one bit from coming out to the beautiful Kentucky Horse Park, in Lexington, to shop, walk the course, and yes sit in the stands for 2 full days of eventing dressage. The magic of this event is not dampened by the rain, which has stopped, just in time for the course to dry out for Saturday’s cross country.

Kim Severson is in the lead following a brilliant dressage test with Winsome Andante, winners of the 2002 Rolex Kentucky Three Day Event, posting a dressage score of 37 penalty points to put them well into the lead from a starting field of 44 entries. Remember in Eventing, the lower the score the better!
