2004 Detroit Dressage

Ashley Wright Makes an Impression in Detroit

Ashley Wright and D'AzanteAshley Wright brought five horses and three riders to Zada Enterprises LLC Detroit Dressage I/II from her Grandview Equestrian Farm in Ontario. She took home more than soggy saddle pads after record-setting rains.

All three riders won championships mounted on horses that looked typy for relaxation and professionalism. "The horses we brought here are all younger," said Wright, the primary trainer at her Grandview Equestrian facility.

Laurie O'Neill and RubixWright rode several horses to distinguished ends at Zada Enterprises LLC Detroit Dressage I/II. Riding the Bavarian warmblood stallion D'Azante , 6, Wright won the Championship in Second Open with 69.2l%.

At home Wright finds the 16.1, black horse rides best bareback because his back is extremely sensitive. 26 saddles later, perhaps she's found the right one which she purchased two days before the Detroit Dressage show.

On the Oldenburg gelding Rubix, 5, 15.3, Wright won reserve in First Open with 70.29. Wright's student Laurie O'Neill, 25, brought Rubix (by Rubinstein out of Lexina) to Wright for training and to sell. He scored 70 on both his tests and this is his first year of showing.
