Sunday January 30, 2005 Leslie Morse's Kingston and Tip Top 962 Up for Stud
Leslie's other star, the Swedish warmblood Tip Top 962 (by Master) is following in the footsteps of Kingston, equalling him in quality as an international calibre Grand Prix dressage horse. Tip Top 962 is the triple Swedish Young Horse Champion. In 2004 he won the Festival of Champions USEF Intermediaire I Championships and competed at international dressage shows such as the CDIO Aachen and CDI Hagen. Leslie Morse's stallions Kingston and Tip Top 962 are both up for stud. Discover them in the Horsesdaily Stallion Market
Both stallions will be competing in the Grand Prix at the Winter Equestrian Festival dressage shows in Floridathis season. Tip Top is the impressive Swedish Warmblood stallion that Morse acquired from Kyra Kyrklund while training in Europe. At the WEF shows, Leslie’s goal is to get Tip Top confirmed in the Grand Prix in preparation the Freestyle Championships and possibly World Cup. Morse’s other Grand Prix stallion, Kingston needs little introduction after winning the 2004 US League Freestyle Championships and countless Grand Prix Championships both in California and Europe last season. Leslie hopes to use the WEF circuit to prepare Kingston for the 2005 Freestyle Championships and push toward retuning to the World Cup . Prior to this season, Morse had not competed in Florida for over 10 years. Morse said she felt that the WEF circuit was comparable to showing in Europe. “The last time I came to Florida I was amazed how many spectators came”, said Morse. Morse also noted that she decided to participate on the WEF circuit because it offered a number of advantages, including good judges, easy proximity to the shows so the horses traveled less, superb competition and a number of CDI level shows to compete at. Morse wasn’t the only one who was excited about her coming to show on Florida’s WEF Dressage circuit, USEF Dressage Director, Marilyn Adams had this to say about Morse’s decision to come from California to Florida, “We are very excited that Leslie Morse has decided to trek to Florida to compete. We hope other dressage rider’s will follow her lead.”. Morse will be stabling in Wellington with 7-time US Olympic Dressage Team Member, Robert Dover. Along with her horses, Morse was able to bring along her dog, Pari for her two and half month stay in Florida. In addition to participating at the WEF shows, Morse hopes to take in a little shopping and a few of the area’s restaurants. “Of course, I want to enjoy Florida like every tourist”, says Morse. At the same time Morse may do so conservatively, as her Dressage Assistant, Michel Deluna informed us that Leslie personally funded the trip from California and is seeking sponsorship for her future dressage endeavors both in the US and Europe.
