The Ashley Holzer Show Continues

Meanwhile, Ashley Holzer had an interesting win aboard Ellen Lazarus’ Dutch gelding, Maximillian. Holzer won Friday’s FEI Prix St Georges on Maximillian with a score of 67.2505%. The day prior, Holzer won the FEI Prix St. Georges on her own Dutch gelding, Pop Art with the exact same score of 67.250%. And Maximillian and Pop Art are half brothers! Holzer continued her winning streak with Pop Art, saving the best for last, as the final ride of the day in the Intermediare I topping their previous day's results with a 69+%. Both are sired by the late Cabochon.

On the young rider’s scene, stable mates Amanda Stearns and Katie Hoog took first and second place in the Third Level Test Two YR Test. Hoog and Ileana took second with a 65.952%, while Stearns earned the blue with a score of 66.190%. Trainer, John Zopatti said,” Both of these young rider’s work hard and deserved their victories.”

Day three of Wellington Dressage kicks-off Saturday at 8:00 am with the FEI Intermediare- I, followed by the Grand Prix Special. The exciting Winsome Dressage/Jumper Spectacular gets underway at 3:00 pm with teams competing to win their share of $25, 000.
