Friday February 18, 2005 Top Riders Prevail on Day One of the Zada Enterprises, LLC Florida Dressage Classic
Arlene (Tuny) Page’s Danish Hanoverian gelding, Wild One, won the $1250 FEI Intermediaire II class this morning with a solid score of 68.130%. Tuny told us she schooled the fancy 9-year-old gelding thoroughly the day before the class. “He was a little tired today, but stayed focused and on the aids. He has a lot more brilliance, but he needs more mileage. I’d say he is about three months away from being able to perform to his full potential in the show ring, but I was really proud of him. I just love this horse,” gushed Page. The judges seemed to love Wild One today, too. Second went to Marco Bernal on Scorpio with a 67.236%, followed by Nancy Later on Alexis-D with a score of 66.911%. |
