Top Riders Prevail on Day One of the Florida Dressage Classic

Rembacz and Millennium Show Their Color

Silke Rembacz on MillenniumThe $1000 Open Prix St. Georges was won by a horse of different color! That is the 11-year-old Dutch gelding, Millenium ridden by Silke Rembacz and owned by Winterage Stables, Inc.

Millenium is a striking horse with a big white blaze and white socks, but he is literally an undeterminable color. “Sometimes he’s a black bay, other times he is almost gray or even a grulla color,” explained Rembacz describing the handsome gelding’s rather unique coat color. One thing is for certain, he is hard to miss. And when the judges saw him today color aside, his bold gaits and accurately executed test clearly made him the winner with a score of 69.750%. “I was very excited about the ride,” added Rembacz, “And I am looking forward to his performance tomorrow in the Intermediaire II.”

Emily Gershberg and Pancratius finished second with a 65.250%, followed closely by Ashley Holzer on Maximillian with a 65%.
