Friday, August 19, 2005 Pony Power – PhelpsPhotos.com Covers the 2005 USEF Pony Finals
The event features classes in Green and Regular Working Hunter, as well as a Pony Jumper division. For four days from 7 am to 10 pm, riders and ponies from the entire country who have qualified are put to the test, showing in model, hack and over fences for the hunter divisions and equitation. Perfectly groomed ponies and pigtailed handler go through the motions of standing their mounts for the scrutiny of a skilled and knowledgeable judge’s panel. The influx of the European breeds has become a strong influence, in this highly competitive division of the industry.
PhelpsPhotos.com was there, for every pony from dawn until after dark, and we can proudly say we lived to tell about it! For the first time in the 28 years I have been photographing horse competitons I got a blister on my hand from holding the camera!
