Tuesday, October 4, 2005 Dressage at Devon – Coverage Continues to Grow, After the Show
DressageDaily.com has provided On the Scene coverage for 5 years, bringing Astrid Appels from Belgium, and this year adding to our reporting staff, Margaret Heroy managing the thousands of images taken daily, and Stacy Gormley providing extensive coverage on the USEF Junior competition. As a photographer, I have covered Dressage at Devon for over 25 years, documenting the history of American dressage. Now as an equine insurance specialist with Markel, it is an honor to contribute as a Silver Medal sponsor. For over 40 years, Markel has provided uninterrupted insurance services to the equine world, and continues to demonstrate their commitment to the sport horse community.
We will continue to add images to our on line data base in the weeks to come, as well as more stories and features of the past week. But for the next few days, Astrid travels to Atlanta, Georgia to present her doctoral thesis in Linguistics at Emory University, on the poet Ted Hughes, illustrated by his friend, artist Leonard Baskin. The HorsesDaily.com RV is en-route to a campground on the river in Phoenicia, New York, where we will be out of internet access for a few days, enjoying nature, and the autumn foliage. Our office in Florida is in full operation, however. You can contact Tracey who is collecting our e-mail, or call her at 1-800-572-3286, for equine insurance and photo requests. We are available 24/7 on line and we invite you to take our on-line insurance tour at horsesdaily.com/insurance. On
