Wednesday February 8, 2006 Euro Update: American Owned Stallions Mark 2006 KWPN Stallion Licensing
Americans Marvin and Deborah Hausman are the owners of BMC Nassau, a Indoctro x Sovereign Bill xx offspring, bred by Mr Hagedoorn from Wierden, The Netherlands. Marvin Hausman is a medical doctor doing breaking research in the field of Alzheimer's disease. Deborah is a successful dressage rider who runs Quailhurst stables and vineyard. Wamberto, a bay colt by Hilltop farm's Rousseau out of a Voltaire dam, became the 2006 KWPN Licensing Champion in 's Hertogenbosch, The Netherlands. The dark bay colt stood out with his power and suppleness and was also the crowds' favourite. Wamberto is bred by L. Heida and owned by Adriaan van der Goor and the breeder. The extravagantly moving and licensed Welcome Sir was the price highlight of the 2006 KWPN Select Sale, the auction of licensed and non-licensed stallions following the 2006 KWPN Stallion Licensing. Welcome Sir sold for 220,000 euro to Mary Alice Malone of Iron Spring Farm in Coatesville, PA, USA. The bay stallion is by Iron Spring Farm's Sir Sinclair out of Kissable (by Fruhling x Lucky Boy xx). He was bred and presented at auction by Mr. Ten Bosch. He will stay in The Netherlands until after the stallion performance test.
