Come to the Gold Coast Grande Finale to Support Robert Dover's The Search For America's Next Equestrian Star

Dressage in Florida is still going strong, as evidenced by the large number of entries for the Gold Coast Grand Finale to be held at the Wellington Show Grounds, April 15-16. Robert Dover's The Search For America's Next Equestrian Star will be filming at the Gold Coast Grand Finale, on April 15th where finalists of the reality television series will be competing for the top honors. “We sure would love it if everyone would come out in support of this program on Saturday.” said Robert Dover, who has been filming under top secrecy at his Romance Farms. An array of judges, and Wellington VIP’s will be on hand for the final competition which will be wrapping up 3 weeks of shooting, for the program which will be set to air in the fall.

But don’t think you will have any idea who the final winners are. “We will have the competition at the show,” explained Dover, “but the final winner will be selected privately at my farm on Sunday.” With strong confidentiality agreements in place, similar to other reality shows like Survivor, the few participants involved in the production and filming will be the only ones who will know the outcome. “And even when you watch the finalist compete,” added Dover, “it will still be impossible to figure out who the final choice will be. I am not the only one making this decision."

There will be several judges Linda Zang, Anne Gribbons, Gary Rockwell, and Jessica Ransehauesen involved in the final process. "These fantastic equestrians have shown my program such support and I am very grateful for this. Same goes for the amazing trainers and clinicians, and vendors who have helped to give these young finalists a life changing experience."

The USEF/Markel Young Horse Qualifier and Junior Freestyle classes have been added to the Gold Coast Grand Finale in response to an overwhelming request for these classes. “The response has been great to our Finale show and we again will be running 4 arenas each day.” said Noreen O’Sullivan-Flannigan, President of Gold Coast Dressage and show manager. “The Canadians are still here and supporting this show as well as many other local and seasonal riders, so we should have some nice horses & riders to watch! Dressage in South Florida” is definitely alive and well!!!!”
