Bidding at the live auction promises to be a thrilling part of the evening’s festivities. The Klaus Balkenhol Training Package includes daily training (approximately five lessons per week) with Coach Balkenhol at his world-class facility in Germany, one month’s board for one horse at the Balkenhol Farm, one month’s accommodations for the rider in Rosendahl, Germany, in the private home of David and Arlene Page, and one trans-Atlantic flight (single stall) from Europe to either New York or Los Angeles, depending on where the rider's home base is located, provided by Guido Klatte Horse-Transport. The rider with the winning bid for the Klaus Balkenhol Training Package will have the opportunity to schedule his or her month’s training during mid-October to the end of November 2006, or April/May 2007.

Klaus Balkenhol is a two-time German Olympic Team Gold Medalist and winner of the Individual Bronze Medal (Barcelona 1992) and Individual Silver Medal (Atlanta 1996). He has been the coach for the U.S. dressage team since 2001 and also serves as Technical Advisor to the United States Equestrian Federation (USEF) High Performance Dressage Committee. Balkenhol is the U.S. Dressage Coach through the 2008 Beijing Olympic Games. He also trains Long Listed U.S. riders, hosts selected USEF High Performance grant recipients for training at his facility in Germany, and serves as the U.S. coach at European CDIs and CDIOs, World Championships, Pan American Games and Olympic Games. Under his guidance, the U.S. dressage team claimed the Team Silver Medal at the 2002 World Equestrian Games and the Team Bronze Medal at the 2004 Athens Olympic Games.
