Name that Corgi Puppy!
Another corgi has joined the Phelps/Hathaway herd, we just couldn’t resist. She has been with us just three days and is already settled in and learning the ropes. Still in Kentucky until we return to Florida after the holidays, she is already keeping up with the strenuous daily walks to the creek and back. But we haven’t decided on a name. Anyone who wishes to help can send me an e-mail.

Get Well Soon Craig Bernstein!
Tuny Page’s super groom recently had knee surgery as a result of an injury and is recuperating in Florida. Bernstein who kept us informed of the behind the scenes action during our WEG coverage is resting up and should be back in action in time for the busy Florida circuit. Send him an e-mail; I am sure he would love the attention. Get well soon Craig, and enjoy the forced R&R!

Imperioso
We have heard of the untimely passing of Ashley Holzer's grand prix and Canadian Team WEG mount Imperioso. Our sympathies to Ashley and her family on the loss of this beautiful stallion.

Fiesta Florida Coming to the Jim Brandon Equestrian Center
The migration has begun to Florida. Kim Boyer and Pati Pierucci of Hampton Green Farm have returned and are busy getting ready for Fiesta Florida, the P.R.E. Pure Spanish Horse Celebration at the new Jim Brandon Equestrian Center in West Palm Beach, Jan 12-14. The weekend will be jam packed with important classes, parties, and a clinic with Raphael Soto. Tami Hoag Has a New Mystery Novel Coming
DressageDaily’s JJ. Hathaway flew to LA to drive famed mystery writer, and Grand Prix rider Tami Hoag’s truck and trailer (with furniture – no horses) to her new winter home in Wellington. Hoag managed to sneak away to Devon in September to be Adashi’s celebrity sponsor guest, even though she admitted her deadline was closing in. Watch for the return of Elena and the characters of Dark Horse, her NY Times best seller, based in Wellington. We will be bringing our readers an exclusive preview later this week.

Catherine Haddad, USET Dressage Team alternate for the 2006 World Equestrian Games based near Verden, Germany was in Spain on a horse shopping trip. Haddad is our newest member of Who’s Who, and her profile will debut later this week.

EuroDressage's Astrid Appels is approaching her final year working on her doctorate in Linguistics, at the University of Brussels. But she still makes time to keep up with her enourmously popular website, which will be featuring coverage if the Dressage Forum hels last week in Europe.

Interview With the Governor of Kentucky
Mary Phelps and hubby JJ. Hathaway made a trip to the Kentucky State Capitol last week for a private interview with Governor Ernie Fletcher, and the Kentucky Director of Tourism, Randy Fiveash concerning the 2010 World Equestrian Games. Gov Fletcher’s efforts to get state funding for a new state of the art arena which is being proclaimed to become the finest arena in the Country for Equestrian Sport activities, was a key factor in convincing the FEI our time has come to host the World Games. The Governor and Commissioner both were passionate and excited to talk with us about the Games, and we have a tape recorder full of information and news about the event in 2010. Stay tuned as we bring you news of the interview, and more exciting facts and news of the Alltech FEI World Equestrian Games Kentucky.
