Paxton Farm CDI Cincinnati 2007

Paxton Farm CDI - A Family Event

The organizers did a remarkable job keeping the show running, considering that the show featured 4 rings for the open show, as well as hosting both an official Pan Am qualifier and a qualifying show for our Para Olympic Riders. There was a pig roast Saturday evening for all competitors donated by Christy and Emily Bach as they watched the Para Freestyles, and a welcome party after the jog, all provided by Janet and John Paxton.

However, all was not perfect although the weather was perfect this year. The computers went down, in the middle if the CDI Intermediaire class and all scores had to be tallied by hand. A number of volunteers, many of whom had just come to watch, rolled up their sleeves and helped out. Janet Paxton and Janine Malone did their best to keep the competitors informed, and competitors were understanding and appreciative.

A special thanks goes out to Janet and show secretary Paula who worked tirelessly for three days following the competition to tally and organize all the results by hand. "I just want to thank all the competitors and volunteers who were so gracious and complimentary of our efforts during what could have been total disaster." said Janet Paxton.

However in spite of all the challenges that Janet Paxton faced that weekend, she got the best Mother's Day gift she could ask for. Her son a pilot stationed in Iraq called to say he was coming home.
