Dressage Riders to Represent the United States at the World Equestrian
Festival in Aachen, Germany July 3-8 2007
Invited by the organizing committee to participate as individuals in the CDIO are Courtney King, 29 from New Milford, CT on Christine McCarthy's KWPN stallion, Idocus and Steffen Peters, 42, from San Diego, CA on Akiko Yamazaki's Holsteiner gelding, Lombardi. Also competing in the CSI**** will be Catherine Haddad, 43, from Vechta, Gemany on Maximus JSS, the Danish Warmblood owned by the Janet S. Schneider Trust, and Arlene Page, 50, from Wellington Florida on her own Hanoverian gelding, Wild One. Quite a few horses and riders are planning to travel to Europe for training and competition in the summer and fall of 2007 as preparation for the 2008 Olympic Games Selection Trials. Since many riders can't make two trips to Europe this year the USEF High Performance Dressage Committee voted to fund these training tours rather than a Dressage Team at Aachen to compete in the Dressage Nation's Cup. The individual riders at Aachen will be self-funded. Stay tuned for our On the Scene reports |
