First Elimination Tomorrow on Search For America's Next Equestrian Star - Dressage

In the first of a five part series featuring Robert Dover and five young talented dressage riders, we saw the selection process from hundreds of videos submitted, and were introduced to the contestants. Then they dug in their heels and began to ride, and not all went well. A "train wreck" is how Dover described the first session. "Ride your horse forward, he's not your mother!" was another tactful approach the 6 time Olympian took with the contestants. Another contestant's horse went lame, jeapordizing his chances to continue. This Friday, of Fox Reality Network at 9:AM EST, one one will be sent packing.

But this show is more than entertainment, tears, and drama. Each program is packed with valuable educational material about dressage and what it is really like to train and devote oneself to being the best that they can be.

If you missed the first episode (like me) do not despair. A synopsis of the program can be found on the website - americanequestrianstar.tv. It's fun, educational and entertaining.

Equestrian television needs your support and participation if we are to continue to grow in this area. For years Americans have complained on the lack of television coverage of equestrian sport and programming, and this program helps to prove to the broadcast media what kind of an audience we can bring.
