Be Sure to Watch the Grand Finale of The Search for America’s Next Equestrian Star: Dressage on Friday November 16, 2007

Wellington, FL—Be sure to watch the grand finale of The Search for America’s Next Equestrian Star: Dressage on the Fox Reality Channel this Friday, November 16, 2007. You won’t want to miss a moment as the final four battle it out for the coveted position as Robert Dover’s assistant trainer, plus other wonderful prizes. While the contestants have faced a variety of challenges, they have also accessed some of the sport’s renowned experts, including Ashley Holzer and Palm Beach Equine Clinic. In the last of five episodes, the players will face their greatest challenge yet.

“Each of the contestants has had their own personal trials,” Dover explains. “For the final challenge, we tried to create a situation that would emulate the pressure that a top professional rider would face. It was a true battle to the finish.”

For the contestants, the challenges have been worth the stress. “Robert Dover has been my idol since I was little,” says Philesha Chandler, from Wichita, Kansas. “I would make my grandma watch tapes of his riding when I was growing up. It has been exciting to be one of the contestants. I was nervous because I haven’t had lots of formal training with big name instructors, which made me feel out of my league.”

J.J. Tate concurs. “The whole experience was life changing, which probably sounds a bit cliché. It motivated me to say, ‘I can ride at this level.’ Having a camera around heightened the excitement.”

For both Dover and Executive Producer Karin Reid Offield, watching the young riders rise to the challenges and grow as riders, instructors and human beings has been a humbling experience. "I am so incredibly proud of these six kids,” Offield says. “From the beginning to the last scene we shot, we could not have asked for more from them. They gave us everything they had; they dug deep and delivered amazing performances. And did we have fun!"

So who takes home the grand prize? Find out on Friday on the Fox Reality Channel, 9:00 a.m. EST, 8:00 a.m. CST, 7:00 a.m. MST, and 6:00 a.m. PST.

The Search for America’s Next Equestrian Star: Dressage was conceived by Dover and Brave St. Productions. The show has been called a cross between American Idol and The Apprentice.
