Mushroom Matrix Study Results to be Presented at Adequan/USDF and AAEP Conventions

The study results that Dr. Marvin Hausman will be taking with him to the Adequan USDF and AAEP conventions show the impact of eating the Mushroom Matrix on the antioxidant and anti-inflammatory activity in the blood of horses. As a nutritional food supplement, the Matrix provides both horses and humans with literally thousands of natural enzymes, proteins and antioxidants.

This research into the health benefits of the Matrix was made possible by the development of a “biomarker” by Oxis International, a biopharmaceutical research and development company of which Dr. Hausman is CEO. A biomarker is a molecular indicator of a specific biological property; a biochemical feature or facet that can be used to measure the progress of disease or the effects of treatment. The antioxidant/anti-inflammatory biomarkers developed by Oxis International allows for learning how different nutritional supplements may affect the oxidative capacity of cells as well as biologic fluids.

One study, the results of which will be available at both conventions in Florida, involved feeding the Mushroom Matrix to 14 healthy, one-year-old Thoroughbred horses at Cobra Farms in Lexington, Kentucky. The blood of the horses involved in the study was tested both before and after 30 days of supplementation with the Matrix. The study results indicate that the Mushroom Matrix can increase the level of antioxidant/anti-inflammatory activity in the blood, thus, increasing the body’s ability to fight off oxidative stress.

So, come check out the latest research news on the Mushroom Matrix and visit with Dr. Hausman at the DressgeDaily.com booths.
