Heidi Degele and her mount, Don Fredo competing at Welcome Back to White Fences IV

Wellington, FL – Preparedness paid off for Heidi Degele, whose road to success has been one way, through hard work. With a full-time competition stable she runs located in Loxahatchee, FL, former Michigan resident Degele finds her stride training horses and students to achieve high scores while climbing the levels to the international stage. There are two main goals Degele works towards for the 2013 USA Dressage season. One, qualifying for the Markel/USEF National and Developing Championships held August 21-25, 2013 in Wayne, Illinois and two, helping her student Chloe Hatch, climb the levels in the Young rider division.  Degele achieved both her goals during the first week in April 2013 at the Welcome Back White Fences III and IV competitions.

In the early 1900’s soy was used as fertilizer; the high nitrogen content made the soy plant a valuable additive to soil. But then soy graduated to animal feed due to its protein content, and then later soy meal was used for industrial process: paper coatings, and fire-fighting foam. One company, Central Soya, figured out ways to process the beans which led to a wide range of food components: candy manufacturers used it to prevent their products from sticking to wrappers, General Mills incorporated it into non dairy deserts and puddings.  Meat companies used it as a filler or extender in their bologna, salami, ham, and turkey slices. Supplement companies turned to soy protein because it was inexpensive and readily available. Soy protein, it turns out, has become the perfect canvas for food scientists to work with because it is so malleable.

DressageTrainingOnline.com is very excited to bring you our newest permanently featured trainer, Daniel Martin Dockx who rides for the Spanish team. His biography and accomplishments speak for themselves but his style of training is incredibly effective and will resonate within your mind for always. Daniel works with PRE's in this clinic setting, which was generously sponsored by the USPRE Association, but the work can be applied to any breed. Dani is detailed and emphatic and as you watch his videos you will see certain themes prevail with many riders and many different horses. I like this as it as it stays in the mind of the viewer, the important points one must always remember and think about, that are consistently applicable, no matter who you are or what you ride.
