This week's featured stallion is Marydell Farm's Don Principe standing at Hilltop Farm in Colora, MD. Don Principe began his US show career in 2005 with wins at numerous Breed Shows such as the Good Horseman Breeders’ Showcase, Dressage at Lexington, and Dressage at Devon. His scores were consistent in the 80’s and it was not uncommon for Don Principe to earn a score of 9 for his walk. That same season, he also showed very successfully in the FEI 6-year old division and finished in 4th place overall at the National Championships. In 2009, Don Principe moved up to Grand Prix and earned top ribbons on the competitive Florida circuit. Courtney King-Dye began riding Don Principe later that season with immediate success including winning the Wellington Classic CDI Prix St. Georges over a field of 31 entries.
