Jack Sparrow, the spectacular licensing champion of the 2010 Marbach Weekend, was sold to Edward Gal's sponsor, Carolyn de Roo of President Stables in September of 2011. The Marbach Weekend is an annual event that the Baden-Wurttemberg Breed Registry organizes on behalf of the Southern German Breeders Association. It is a combined stallion licensing under saddle and sport horse auction.

The now 4-years-old 17 hand black-bay wonder mover was bred by Hugo Schmidgall in Wüstenrot, Germany, and is by Johnson – Wolkentanz II – Don Primero. Jack Sparrow is now relocated from Baden-Wurttemberg to Holland to start his training with Edward Gal.
