Ruth Hogan-Poulsen is a lifelong horsewoman who has achieved success as a Grand Prix dressage competitor, sought-after trainer and clinician, author, and musical freestyle composer. For over a decade Ruth has designed freestyles and taught amateurs and professionals to ride to music. Her trademarked products are Riding with Soul Clinics and Riding with Soul CDs. Her freestyles have been used at the Children of the Americas Dressage Invitational, the FEI World Cup Dressage for Young Riders, and the World Equestrian Games Selection Trials.

Ruth operates East Hill Farm, a 150-acre boarding and training facility in her native Vermont, with husband Bo Poulsen, a farrier hailing from Denmark. She is a regular competitor and trainer on the New England dressage scene as well as the Florida winter show circuit. Recently, Ruth and Bo launched their sporthorse breeding program with In Like Flint, foaled in June 2009.
