David Blake currently, trains and works at Arroyo Del Mar in San Diego, CA with Shannon and Steffen Peters. With his wife Andrea Blake, he operates David Blake Dressage, Inc., which he started in 2004 in Thousand Oaks, CA, where Blake trains horses and riders from training level through the Grand Prix. He also runs a successful sales business and teaches monthly clinics in Texas, Washington State, Illinois and California. A 2000 USDF Gold medalist, Blake has established a solid reputation as a young horse trainer winning the National FEI 6 year-old Championships in Lexington, KY in 2006 with Catapult, and qualified and competed Lord Albert for the FEI World Young Horse Championships in Verden, Germany.

After showing FEI successfully for several years, David Blake enters the CDI arena with an ambitious agenda for 2011. He is campaigning two horses, Lord Albert and Sharon Garner’s Falsterbo, for the Pan American Games in Guadalajara, Mexico and pointing a third mount, Catapult, toward the USEF National Grand Prix Championships in Gladstone, New Jersey. Blake is on list of high performance riders for the Medal Equestrian Foundation. The program offers potential sponsors a tax deduction for the contributions, making it easy to help riders fulfill their dreams.
