Werner Van Den Brande

Werner Van Den Brande launched his professional career as a rider and trainer in 1998 when he opened a stable in his home country of Belgium at the age of 21. By 2003, with sponsor support, he added professional horse sales to his multi-faceted business. In 2004, Werner’s business had grown phenomenally and with additional sponsors, he moved to a brand new facility in Belgium to accommodate 25 horses and a staff of four. Werner’s keen eye for spectacular horses coupled with his ability to match mounts to clients has catapulted his sales into a thriving import business. Werner specializes in importing quality mounts from Europe to the U.S.
In his career, Werner has successfully started many young horses on their champion show careers, including international superstars like Galant Du Serein. Werner loves to compete and his goal is to represent Belgium in more international competitions, including “… one or two Olympic Games.”
As a professional competitor, Werner was in the winner’s circle at top competitions in Europe for 10 years. In European competitions, Werner’s achievements include earning fifth place at the 1999 Belgium Championship in the FEI Four Year Old Division with Galant Du Serein. Werner purchased the spectacular stallion and the duo claimed second place in the Four Year Olds at the 1999 National Championship in Belgium. In 2000, Werner and Galant Du Serein represented Belgium at the World Championships in the FEI Five Year Olds. Werner rode several more youngsters to successful careers in the FEI Young Horse Divisions including Pompadour W, Don Jonson, Taikoen, Master, and Uivertje Ruta. In 2006, Werner competed in his inaugural Florida season and once again proved his abilities as a top contender with several mounts including Masterminds, Douglas, Lullaby, Filigran 037, Nervion, and Briljanth.
Now located at Laura Quin and Robert Stark's Hampton Meadows Farm, a full service dressage facility in the prestigious White Fences Equestrian Community, Van Den Brande and his partner Mary Cameron Rollins offer a full array of training services fro both horse and rider.
